Stayed in this cabin for a much-needed getaway with some friends for the weekend. We were thrilled with how spacious and comfortable the cabin was. It was so clean, it felt like we were the first ones who ever stayed there. It also had everything we needed - we used the cute dishes, the grill, and the hot tub both nights. We also spent a lot of time on the deck because we couldn't get enough of the amazing mountain views! The view makes you feel like you're secluded in the mountains, but it's still an extremely convenient location (minutes from the GSMNP). The owners were very gracious and easy to work with. Highly recommend!
Loved our stay in this beautiful log house! The sunsets off the porches were stunning! Every evening we relaxed on the back deck watching the sunsets and listening to nature. The house was spacious and comfortable - just what we wanted! It was a short drive to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and more importantly- The Smokies!!! Ate at a few of the restaurants in town and shopped at a some of the stores - the people were extremely friendly!!! Definitely recommend this house and area!!!
We travelled with our 3 kids (ages 12, 11 and 4). This location is perfect! You really are up in the mountains, but close enough (about 25 minutes) to Pigeon Forge to be able to do some of the kids activities if you’d like. What we really enjoyed was being close to the national park via either the new Foothills Parkway as well as Cade’s Cove (it feels closer going through Townsend) but it’s a really pretty drive going through the park too by turning right at the corner by Mountain Brothers (Line Springs Rd.). And then there’s the cabin! It’s perfect! We spent a lot of time on the porch relaxing and taking in the sounds of silence and nature. We loved that the kids basically had their own level of the cabin in the basement with all of the games, pool table, and ping pong (which we spent several hours playing!) There is a small local grocery store across the street from Elvira’s and Dollar General has a lot too (including a small produce section). There are many conveniences very close, but the trek up the mountain to the cabin really makes you feel like you are getting away from it all. We saw a bear print on our porch one morning but were bummed that we didn’t actually see the bear even though we heard one on our last morning. Book this cabin. You won’t be disappointed!
This cabin was a perfect location for us and more than big enough for our family of 5. You have the privacy but are a close drive to all that Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg but most importantly what the Smoky Mountains have to offer. Views from wrap around deck are amazing. Pictures don't do it justice. We'll definitely be back.
The cabin is perfect! Our family of seven had an excellent time and would definitely come back. The cabin has remarkable views! Maraide was extremely responsive. Thanks so much for sharing your cabin with us, we had a fantastic trip to the smokies!
We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was roomy and had wonderful views on the mountains. We look forward to going back again soon!
The cabin was very nice and was well equipped with amenities. The fireplace, hot tub, ping pong table, TV's, WiFi kept us busy on our snowy "cabin day." It has a nicely equipped kitchen. The cabin was just far enough outside of town to enjoy the quiet, see the night time stars and avoid the major hustle-bustle. It was only a short drive to the family attractions in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The new leg of the Foothills Parkway just opened and driving into Smoky Mountain National Park is only minutes away. Don't miss that! We would definitely stay here again at this lovely cabin. Perfect for a couple who want a getaway or a family that needs space and plenty to do.
I have never been so sad to leave a vacation in all my life. The cabin and the view were so gorgeous. We had a perfect view while enjoying our Thanksgiving meal out on the picnic table. I would recommend this cabin 100%!
