Custom-built chalet-style log cabin designed by owners to take advantage of surrounding mountain views. Has a small flat yard with swings and a sliding board.
Very private - nothing but mountain views on 3 sides. NO FIRES ALLOWED. The property has a park-style charcoal grill.
Rent directly from the owner. Our guests appreciate speaking to the same person they can call 24x7 if needed during their stay. Owner-managed, not internet-managed.

Main Level:
• Kitchen with pots/pans, nice plates, etc., dishwasher, icemaker, coffee maker, blender, 6 qt. Slow Cooker. Just bring your food & spices
• Dining room/breakfast bar can seat up to 11. High chair or booster seat available upon request
• Great Room with gas fireplace (fall through early spring only), huge picture windows, Smart TV, Wii, comfortable seating for 5 - queen-size sleeper sofa
• Deck facing west with panoramic mountain views, large hot tub, swing, rockers
• Bedroom with king-size bed, TV, mountain views
• Bathroom with lots of counter space and a roll-in shower
Lower Level :
• King bed suite - this bedroom has a Jacuzzi tub, TV, and Valley/Mountain views
- Adjoining private bath has a large roll-in shower. It is wheelchair accessible via an outdoor ramp, weather permitting.
• 'Third' bedroom is a combination recreation room with an air hockey table and TV plus custom-built log bunk bed - full over queen
- Adjoining large bathroom with a bathtub/shower
• Laundry room with full-size washer & dryer
Loft Level:
• Pool table, darts
• Twin-size sleeper sofa
• Full bathroom
• Balcony facing east for sunrise & stargazing
The cabin has a small yard and playground.
Pampered, well-traveled dogs are welcome. Pet fee applies.

We have stayed in Connie’s other cabin several times but this was our first time in Above the Clouds. It was absolutely incredible. The best views in the Smokies and incredibly clean. So much room too! Our kids loved the pool and air hockey tables and the hot tub and porch swing were our favorites. Connie is an amazing host and always there for anything you might need. We have actually postponed trips to the Smokies when one of her cabins weren’t available. We just can’t stay anywhere else now that we have seen Above the Clouds and Eagles View. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us all!

Stayed ay Above the Clouds for a week in February of this year. Excellent cabin. Wonderful views. Could not have been nicer. My wife and I took my 90 year old Mother and we all had a great time. My Mom uses a walker and wheelchair and everything was perfect for her. It is a steep drive up the mountain and our GPS was not exactly spot on. When it said we had arrived, we had to go further up the mountain to the next group of cabins. Once we arrived, what a view. Had snow while we were there and it was beautiful. Fortunately, the snow melted off the roads before we had to go down to Sevierville. Connie was great to work with. Highly recommended!!

We enjoyed our stay at Above the Clouds. It is a beautiful cabin and furnished with just what you need. The owners are very sweet and are there to help with whatever you need. The view is absolutely breathtaking. Hot tub and pool table were a hit! We woke up to snow and thankful Connie worked with us to make sure we made it down the mountain safely. Thank you for letting us enjoy your cabin. We can’t wait to come back!

Everything about this stay was just amazing! The views are breathtaking and the cabin was so cozy! Connie is also an amazing host! We had an issue while staying at the cabin (not related to the cabin) and she, along with the maintenance man Gene, helped us out immensely! We don’t know what we would have done without them. Definitely would visit again and recommend to all my friends!

This cabin was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen. The dining table seated all 9 of us easily. The view was amazing. The accessible bathrooms met our needs very nicely. Our family had a really fun family getaway here. Thank you for sharing your lovely cabin.

This cabin is perfect! Spacious, clean, and fully equipped. The views....oh my! Spectacular! The swing on the porch was my hubby’s favorite spot. Staying in Wears Valley was relaxing and charming.
Yes, paved road and flat parking spaces. Room for 2 cars and we can advise on where to park a 3rd nearby! Road Condition to Cabin: paved but curvy/uphill for 1 mile. A 4-wheel drive is not needed under non-snow conditions.
If you cancel your reservation on or before 60 days prior to your planned arrival date, we will refund your reservation deposit less a 20% cancellation fee; within 60 days, we will refund the cleaning and pet fees (if applicable). If we are able to rebook the property for all or part of that period, we will refund the rental amount or prorated share based on the new booking. You may choose to purchase travel insurance separately.
