We (Larry Strout and Penny Rodrique) acquired Bear Forest in June of 2009. Larry is a university professor and Penny is a robotics teacher at a middle school.
We, and our daughter, Nicole, started visiting the Smokies in 1995 and returned frequently mainly to HIKE! We love hiking! We've been to the summit of Mount LeConte more times than you can count!
Bear Forest is really a summer home and a Christmas/New Year's retreat that we have now decided to share with you.
