Tucked away among the treetops and within earshot of the trickling water in Big Bridge Branch, this private home is an elegant take on the classic log cabin. You'll be within short driving distance to Pigeon Forge, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Dollywood, and central Gatlinburg.
With two-story ceilings, gorgeous wood and stone work, and furnishings that reflect the great outdoors, the living space is open, inviting, and tailor-made for relaxing. Take a seat on the leather sofa to catch up with your loved ones, scroll through the cable channels on the flatscreen TV, and light the seasonal floor-to-ceiling gas fireplace (October 1 to April 1) to enhance the cozy mountain atmosphere. Downstairs you can relax while watching your favorite sports or Nextflix movie on the 110" HD TV.
Begin each morning on a high note by preparing breakfast in the full kitchen, where you'll find stainless steel appliances, natural wood cabinetry, and a large window to let in the breeze. Flip french toast and pancakes on the stovetop, sit down at the kitchen table, and stack the plates in the dishwasher for easy, hassle-free cleanup.
Bring your coffee outside to the wrap-around deck, where you can read the morning paper in a rocking chair, cuddle up with your kids on the porch swing, or watch for deer passing through your neck of the woods. Come lunchtime, there's even a charcoal grill for afternoon barbecues in the shade.
Pull your bathing suits and towels from the private washer/dryer, and beat the summer heat by going swimming in the seasonal community pool (which is open between May 1st and October 1st). Back at the house, you can take a soothing soak in the private hot tub, or head upstairs to the loft for an evening of tournaments at the pool table, ping pong, air hockey, foosball, and the arcade game.
With three King bedrooms each with en-suite full bath, two single rollaways and two pull out couches, Big Bear Retreat will accommodate twelver guests. The first master suite is located on the main floor, offering a king-size bed made from natural logs, a flatscreen TV, and a private bathroom with a tub/shower combination. There is a half-bath on the main floor as well. Head upstairs to discover a second master suite, which features a king-size bed, a flatscreen TV, and a bathroom with a stall shower and jacuzzi tub. Downstairs is the finest Master suite with a King Bed, stacked stone fireplace and jacuzzi tub in the full en-wuite bath. You'll also have two sleeper sofas and two single rollaways for additional sleeping space.

We had the best time celebrating our family Christmas at this cabin. Three families, 6 adults 4 children. We each had our own floor, and with 3 master bedrooms, everyone had their own room and their own bathroom. The game room was a hit for all the kids, young and old. Ping pong, pool, air hockey, fooze ball, and a great pin ball machine. The house was decorated for Christmas with a beautiful tree. And every stuffed bear wore a Santa hat! It was the perfect place for us. Bonus, it’s close to Dollywood. We would definitely stay here again.

The cabin was beautiful, very clean and spacious. It was quiet and secluded but not too far from attractions. Would definatley reccommend !!

I loved this Cabin. We celebrated our sons birthdays here with family- It was perfect. All the bedrooms are spacious and just so beautiful. John was available at all times for any concerns. The Game room was enough to keep kiddos busy and the theater room was perfect for the late nights with Family. The kitchen was well equipped and it was just perfect. The online pictures don't do this cabin justice, we will happily stay here again and recommend such a beautiful place to all our friends. Thanks John!

This cabin is beautiful and very comfortably fit our group of 8. It was conveniently located to all the major local attractions. John was very quick to respond to all communications. The kitchen was equipped with just about any accessary you can think of for eat in family meals (we did have to purchase a corkscrew). The only issue we had was with the home entertainment center. It would be easier to set up/operate with a universal remote. We eventually figured out the television portion, but were unable to get movies, etc. to stream.

This cabin was awesome! Quiet mountain retreat was exactly what this cabin offered....located in nice resort with a pool and only 10 minutes away from the Parkway. After a day of activity in town it was so nice to come back to the peace and quiet this cabin had to offer.

John was so nice & went above and beyond to help us have a wonderful stay with everything we needed at his cabin. The cabin was full of games & fun and everyone that came on our trip enjoyed our stay here! It wasn’t to far from all the attractions in Pigeon Forge. We will choose his cabins again as our home away from home!
