Welcome to Laurel Creek Hideaway, my name is Chris. Laurel Creek Hideaway is 1 of 5 properties my wife Sarah and I personally own in Gatlinburg.
Your dream vacation to the Great Smoky Mountains awaits you. By renting one of our cabins you will experience a superior level of service that the large property management companies in the area cannot offer. The reason you ask? Because we are the actual owners of all our cabins. We likely will not be the absolute cheapest price you will find for a rental property, but in many cases cheaper may not always better. We want you make long lasting memories that you will cherish for many years into the future. The exceptional quality of our properties, and the personal level of service you will receive will leave no doubt in your mind that you made the best choice for your Smoky Mountains vacation.
Laurel Creek Hideaway is a MASSIVE million-dollar log home built alongside a peaceful mountain stream. The lodge is approximately 5,400 square feet and constructed of huge two-foot diameter timbers. There are two huge outdoor decks that wrap around the front of our lodge and overlook the mountain stream. The lodge can accommodate up to 22 people easily and is great for kids and the entire family. You will never run out of room at our property. It has 3 floor levels, as well as a large private outdoor area around our private mountain stream!
Our sprawling property is ideal for games of hide-and-seek and family BBQs. The walking bridge across the stream leads you to our peaceful streamside sitting area featuring a wood burning fire pit and two charcoal burning BBQ grills. Our downstairs game room is perfect for keeping the kids and teens busy when grown-ups want some downtime. We have three full size arcade games, a pool table, foosball table, and a corn-hole set to occupy the kids and adults alike. We also have an in-ground basketball goal alongside the driveway to play
As the daylight fades, sink into one of our rockers and take in in the mountain laurel-scented surroundings, and watch the sun slowly dip behind the trees. Enjoy cozy nights in front of the fireplace and lazy breakfasts in the fully stocked kitchen. Don’t forget to relax for a while in our five person hot tub while enjoying the peacefulness of our property.
We named our property "Laurel Creek Hideaway" because it is positioned alongside a peaceful, winding mountain stream that defines this location. Gentle cascades of water flow down the stream as it winds its way along our property. The stream makes its way from behind the lodge, and then winds its way along the side of our decks down the length of our property to the end of the driveway. Enjoy the peace and calming effects of the mountain stream at our cabin. The lodge is also surrounded by beautiful mountain laurels which produce aromatic blooms in early to mid Summer. We have a walking bridge built across the stream that leads to a private wooded area next to the stream. Here you will find a wood burning fire pit (with a grill top) and a seating area where you can relax and enjoy nature's beauty. Dip your toes in the stream, and feel free to roast marshmallows and hot dogs on the fire. This area is peaceful, secluded, and serene. You will surely lose track of time as you enjoy the beauty nature has to offer.
We have a mixture of open and wooded land totaling just over 2 acres, with the privacy and seclusion you want for you vacation. The driveway and parking area are paved, and there is plenty of room for numerous vehicles to park.
You are just a few minutes away from all the action Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge has to offer. If you want to experience Gatlinburg's sight and sounds, but still want the peace and quiet of the mountains, our lodge is a great place to accomplish both. You will be located only minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We are close to everything the area has to offer.
Entering the main level of the lodge you are greeted straight away by the huge vaulted living area with the grand staircase on your right and the kitchen and formal dining area on the left. Special note on requests to bring your pet: We only allow dogs on a case-by case basis. For the dog to be considered it needs to be mature (not a puppy), well house trained, cleaned and brushed well to prevent excess shedding. We also request that if you wish to bring a dog that the dog be crated at any times when it is not supervised by a human being inside the lodge. We do not want the pet to be left roaming freely inside when no one is there. If you dog is not crate trained, or you cannot fulfill our requests we cannot allow you to bring your dog.

We had 19 people and spent our time at the house. Plenty to entertain the kids. A bear was in the driveway to welcome us when we arrived. Great kitchen. Plenty of space. Close to civilization and shopping but feels like the middle of nowhere.
We had 8 adults and 4 little grandkids and were there for our yearly climb up Mt. Le Conte. We could not have found a better place. Everything was immaculate and the kitchen was stocked with everything. Chris is a perfect host. We have been doing this for over twenty years and this is the best of the best. We hope to come back next year!
We had a great time at this property. There was plenty of beds and space for the 14 of us. We saw a bear walk across the driveway the morning we left! We would definitely stay again! We had great communication with Chris as well.
Beautiful beautiful oh did I mention beautiful home. Very secluded and relaxing out in the nature. Home was very clean and welcoming with a homey feeling!
Our family of 12 really enjoyed the house, awesome spaciousness, private bathrooms in each bedroom and entertainment options that pleased all which was especially nice given our 2 rainy days (note: basketball hoop is at the top of a steep hill, so drawback is hard to play in that location/lots of chasing the basketball down the hill). The kitchen is great for cooking (only drawback was dull cutting knives, bring your own if that matters) and really loved sharing family meals at the long dinner table. Grill is a nice space, albeit a little rusty inside (fine for me but grill masters might find that subpar). Was a little surprised that the hot tub was out the front door but we loved it and used it several times. Enjoyed the fire pit, rocking chairs on the decks, and sound of the stream flowing. A bear did visit our front porch so that was fun to see. Chris made sure our experience was super easy and was quickly responsive when needed. We loved the privacy of the location and good proximity for grocery stores and downtown Gatlinburg but make note this property is up some pretty steep hills and windy roads and 4WD makes that drive much better. Would absolutely stay here again or check out another rental from Chris.
Very close to city & national park
