Purposely designed for people of distinguishing tastes, the Stecoah House has every detail of modern mountain luxury, with a nod toward minimilist style. Perched atop a mountain in the Nantahala Gorge in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, the Stecoah House is the perfect place to disconnect from everyday stresses and reconnect, refocus, and recenter yourself. The cabin is sure to be like none other you've experienced, with its sweeping mountain views, asian-inspired stylings, and perfect privacy while still being nearby to local attractions. At just over 900 square feet, the Stecoah House has been right-sized from the typical mountain cabin, giving smaller groups the same luxury afforded to that of larger cabins, without the unnecessary space and price.

Absolutely amazing house. Pictures don't do it justice. Super clean, everything was brand new and of excellent style and quality. Plenty do do around the area, but we actually never left the house. We will certainly be staying here again.
Melissa's cabin was perfect. The pictures don't do it justice. The view is fantastic and the cabin was everything we imagined and more. Hospitality top-notch. Well worth it- we will be back.
We absolutely loved the place and the scenic beauty it offered. This night will forever remind us of a wonderful memory of star gazing in such a pristine ambiance.Thank you Melissa. P.S- 6-7 cars can easily snug into the parking
My family of two adults and three children stayed five nights in Stecoah House, an ideal and beautifully designed and appointed home in the beautiful Smoky Mountains. It is the only non-yurt rental among the Sky Ridge Yurts property. It is set off from the yurts, extremely private, and possesses the most awesome views we've ever had from our beds! Sun rising/setting, moon rising/setting! STARS! There was ample sleeping room for five (one comfortable king bed upstairs, two pull out sofa beds that were adequate for kids), but unfortunately there was not five chairs around the outdoor deck table and only bar-like-stools at the indoor kitchen counter. The living room has the coolest leather lounge chair and one leather couch--again, tight on comfortable seating for five, but with the kids, ages 8-15, they didn't mind the floor. The fire pit with the best, seasoned firewood we've ever used is plentiful and made for the most incredible memories outside each night. One note of caution for families with toddlers, little ones--the yard is small and steep on all sides so we were mindful of our kids steps and kept our little dog on a leash always. The one lane, twisting, steep gravel road entrance, off of what can be a noisy-ish two lane highway below, is also not easy to find and intimidating at first in a minivan! Try to travel to/from during daylight hours. We also loved the Nantahala Outdoor Center just about a mile away. We loved Stecoah and will return.
